Manassas Ballet Academy

What makes Manassas Ballet Academy different from other dance studios?

Our classes are taught by adult, professional teachers, not by someone for whom it is an avocation.

Our ballet classes are all taught by adult, professional teachers who are trained in the Vaganova methodology.

Our classes are dedicated to one type of dance. We never have "combination" classes where the student spends more time changing shoes than dancing.

Our pricing structure is user-friendly, No long term contacts. All tuition is payable on a monthly basis. Also, no huge recital costs. We do not charge any costume fees, ticket charges, ad fees, photo fees, etc.

Value for the money. Compare the actual cost of an hours class (many studios have 30 or 45 minute classes), and then also compare the caliber of the teachers.

Daily exposure to the professional dancers of Manassas Ballet Theatre, thus having the best in role-models.

Top quality facilities including two spacious (performance size) studios equipped with raised, sprung wood floors and marley dance surfaces.

Parents are able to observe classes at any time through large observation windows.

We're serious about properly teaching dance. Our students spend their time learning to dance, not learning a recital or competition routine.

Our teachers are "hand-on." To properly learn dance, muscle memory of a correct step is necessary. To achieve this, our teachers will manually help a student to perform a step. Frequent corrections by a teacher are necessary for a student to learn and to advance.

We offer both an open division for students who are here primarily for exercise, socialization, coordination, discipline and fun; as well as a professional division for students interested in training to prepare for either a professional dance career and/or a college major in dance.
